STRIKING: Classic is officially dead in Mac OS X 10.5

From now on, SheepShaver will be the only way to run PPC Classic Mac OS applications and games on Mac OS X 10.5, both PPC and Intel.
So for Basilisk and Mini vMac.

They should be improved more rapidly and do much more to be truly good Classic alternatives.

I hope October 26 in 2007 will be the turning point for Classic Mac Emulators.

Because of this, I cancelled my plan for purchasing Leopard. A much more bloated OS with much more "bell and whistles" , which slow down my Powerbook, and with lots of my Classic software disabled is not an applicable upgrade for me.

Well I have been gone a long time, but I wanted to post about Classic on Intel Macs. Apple thrives on using open source software. I always thought that they would eventually make and "official" Classic booter using SheepShaver as an under layer. I know that Steve Jobs loves to kill off old technology, but running Classic is the only reason that I still have my G4.

Yes, that would be nice: Apple using SheepShaver, or maybe better, Apple donating the code to Gwenole
