Exposè works in this emulator. The "just-in-time" version is A LOT faster than the quoted 1/40 ... i would estimate 1/15 - 1/20 or so.
My computer is a:
XP2500+
512 Ram
Radeon 9500 128mb non pro

follow the pearpc doc
make a partition true darwin
reboot with mac osx13
remake your partition with the disk utility
and thats it
oh and also like jazzman said add"#" to the the nic card to blank it out in the ppccfg file
and as he said i guess you have to take out the "-v" from the verbose setting ounce you finish your installation before rebooting
also if you have the advantage of having tons of mem on you comp change the mem setting from #memory_size=0x8000000 to memory_size=0x24000000 then well i dont know what to say except be patient cuz it takes from 2:30hour to 5hour to install so dont expect to run osx as a second os soon it will surely take a bit before it runs at resonnable speed

no the longest you will spend inside a linux type of environnement is when you will first format your partition in darwin just follow the tutorial on the Pearpc websiterobotintestines wrote:So, does this thing actually require a Linux install at any point? If so, my head is going to explode. I've already spent countless hours fumbling around with Mandrake to try SheepShaver. (After that experience, Linux is long gone from my computer)
here is what you have to do with darwin
1-Wait (possible wait some more) and when asked for installation device enter "shell" to get a shell
2-You now have to create a partition:
Enter pdisk.
Enter e and then /dev/disk0 to edit the partition map of the hard disk.
Enter i to initialize the disk.
Confirm the default values.
Enter p to print the preliminary partition map.
Note the length of the Apple_Free partition.
Enter C (this is a capital 'C') to create a new partition entry.
Enter 64 as first block then the length of the Apple_Free partition from above.
Enter Mac_OS_X as partition name and Apple_HFS as partition type.
Enter w to write to partition map, confirm with y and then enter q and q to quit pdisk.
We're done with the partition map. Enter reboot and wait for PearPC to quit.
Now restart PearPC with your mac OsX13 cd image

then you should put it in the same directory as pearpc and mod you ppccfg file to look like this:
pci_ide0_master_installed = 1
pci_ide0_master_image = "pearpc-6gib.img"
#pci_ide0_master_type = "hd"
pci_ide0_slave_installed = 1
pci_ide0_slave_image = "darwin-701.iso.gz"
#pci_ide0_slave_image = "/dev/cdrom"
pci_ide0_slave_type = "cdrom"

I think it's not wise to use the 6 gb file from pear, as they stated it might not be supported.
