Error with BasiliskIIGUI during Setup

Post by AstemioDaBirra »

Hello,

I'm trying to install Basilisk II on windows 10 64bit, but there seems to be some kind of driver conflict when i run BasiliskIIGUI.

When i try to run the executable, this message appears (keep in mind my system is in italian, so the translation may not be 100% accurate):

Impossible to find point of entry
pango_font_map_create_context from the library procedure
of dynamic linking C:\Program Files(x86)\GtkSharp\2.12\bin\libpangocairo-1.0-0.dll.

I have absolutely no idea what to do now.

Can anyone help?

I´m running Basilisk II on various Windows 10 rigs occasionally - never encountered the error you posted.
Are you 100% sure, you have the correct SDL and GTK packages?
Best double check the setup guide: https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/basilisk_ii

To run Basilisk II, the setup GUI is not essential.
Yo may also create a Basilisk II prefs file manually.
Maybe try Basilisk II Build 142 too, as the version does not need the GTK framework.
BII Build 142 asks for the CDROM driver at startup, just close that requester and the emulator should start.
The CDROM driver does not work on 64bit systems anyways.
