Tiger guest supported resolutions

Post by Piddy »

Hello,

I've managed to install Tiger PPC on my Mac using Qemu, following to the guides in this site (thanks).
There is just one thing that is missing from the Tiger system to match my needs: the guest resolution.

Since I'm using a widescreen mac, I would like to set a widescreen resolution also in the windowed guest OS running in Qemu.
Unfortunately, the available resolution are almost all in 4:3 format (1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200...)

Is there any way to set a resolution like 1280x800 or 1440x900 in the guest OS? That would be great

Thanks

Hi,

The currently included vga driver doesn't provide such options.

Best,

My custom VGA driver supports a few; I'll see if I can dig it up. I usually use 1280x720.

Custom driver added here, as well as how to add your own resolutions :)
