Emacs/Aquamacs for 68k?

Post by Velek »

I've downloaded Emacs for Mac from the Macintosh Repository, but it's sources. Can anyone tell me where I can get binaries?

As far as I can tell, the two downloads (emacs18.59.sea_.sit and Emacs_1.1.7.sit) contain the same files when extracted.

When I decode/decompress those downloads, I get a "Emacs 1.1.7ƒ" folder containing several files and folders, among which an "Emacs" application and a file that needs to be added to the System Folder. And, yes, also files that look like source code.

Ah, got it. Don't know what happened the first time. I'm trying "reprioritizing" the emulated operations in the big case statement in emul_op.cpp, but it should probably actually be a dispatch table and in non-debug code it's probably not going to matter anyway on an Intel i7.
