Hello! Finally got Mac OS 9.0.4 running super smoothly on SheepShaver on macOS Mojave version 10.14.6. I'm super impressed with how smooth this emulation runs. It sure is a lot quicker than my translucent Apple iMac 15".
I set my Unix to a folder I made following a tutorial on youtube, then tried a few other locations on my hard drive to no luck.
Any recommendations on how to fix this so I can move some programs I have from my OS hard drive over would be incredibly helpful! Going to be using some of the old music programs for a new movie score.
Thanks,
- Eric

Hi,
There might be a number of reasons why this is happening.
Which rom file are you using?
Did you install a complete version of Mac OS 9.0.4 from a CD image? And not use a pre-installed minimal version from e.g., the redundant robot site?
Which tutorial did you follow?
We have guide available here: https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/sh ... red_folder
Best,

1. Better follow our tutorial and not one of the various tutorials on youtube.
https://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/sh ... os_x_setup
2. As Cat_7 notes, better do a real installation of MacOS instead of using an incomplete pre-installed system like the OS9 disk available on Redundant Robot.
3. You can create a shared folder anywhere.
Browse to that folder in SheepShaver preferences and "Open" it, so the path to the folder will be displayed in the box.
Then save the change in preferences and shut down (not restart) SheepShaver.
At the next launch of SheepShaver the Unix volume should appear on the SheepShaver desktop.
4. Make sure you use the shared folder / Unix disk as explained in our tutorial, especially when you want to transfer games or other applications.

Thank you both. Followed your tutorial this morning and everything is running just right now. Excited to share what comes about these music programs!
