Hi,
Which program is it exactly you are trying to run?
This? https://www.macintoshrepository.org/243 ... oolkit-3-x
Are you trying to start from a alias in the start-up items folder? Or anything else?
Edit: Ah, I see. I think the type/creator info on the back toolkit program are not correct. Therefore the start-up item cannot find the program to start.
Best,
Cat_7

Strange, FWB-BackUp-ToolKit-3-0.2 is working on my side in Qemu and SheepShaver.
Only that I can´t see a benefit backing up files within an emulator when the whole disk image may be backed up on the host OS in an instant.

Re: OS 9.2.2 BackUp ToolKit 3 AutoStart
Program runs fine, but does it also start a backup at boot when you set the backup trigger at next boot? The program shows a generic icon, which seems to indicate some issue with a resource or type/creator duo?

Re: OS 9.2.2 BackUp ToolKit 3 AutoStart
Hi Cat_7,
it was just a problem of the name given by the backup-program under the start-up: he gave as name Backup_3.0.2 instead of Backup.
Modifying the name to the right name was enough.
Thanks.

Klaus

Re: OS 9.2.2 BackUp ToolKit 3 AutoStart
Hi,
Good to see you resolved it.
I resolved it by rebuilding the invisible desktop files that keep track of files and their associated applications. It seems those files get corrupted quite easily.
Normally you would boot Mac OS using some key combination, but as that might not work with qemu, you can use some tool (trash desktop) to rebuild the files at startup. This also fixes icons not showing up correctly.
