PearPC: Installation Guides, Tips and Links!

Post by ClockWise »

Guides that will help you to install the emulator and the Mac OS:

STKD wrote a nice guide to installing Mac OS 10.3 without using Darwin. It includes a download link to a preformatted 10.3 image (not the OS, just a file you can install it onto). Read it right here:

http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1102

For a similar prepared image, but for use in 10.2, see this thread from Cat_7:

http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=949

The folks at #pearpc have produced an installation guide to the emulator, and have collected some helpful links:

http//www.pearpc.net/

Got this one from NeoWin. It looks pretty nice:

Mike Kolassa wrote an "unofficial" guide to the emulator. His is a little out-of-date, but can still be found over here:

http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=934

Helpful Links:

The official PearPC page is over here:

http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/

The SourceForge project page is over here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pearpc/

CoasterMaster created a script that will generate a config file for you. It is right here:

A Note:

Anything else worth noting? Reply with a link.

Go in mac os X and click on the "apple" and hover the mouse over LOCATION, then click to unselect automatic, then click network preferences and it should pop up telling you it found the card!!!continue with what the tutorial says in http://dev.realistanew.com/win32net/

Highly recomend TinkerTool once OSX is running - allows you to turn off animations (Saves a second or two on redraws) and mess with a few hidden preferences within OSX.
