GIF Converter on Gryphel site - serial?
The wonderful Gryphel site includes a download of a compact graphic converter named GIF Converter. It does a lot less than GraphicConverter, but it's small and fast, and I would like to be able to use it. No serial number is listed on the Gryphel site. Does anyone know how to get in touch with the author and ask if he's willing to release it as freeware after 27 years? Thanks for any help.

The developer appears to be this guy:

His blog was last updated in 2011, but perhaps he still monitors that email address.

I wrote to him the day after I posted here, but got no response, unfortunately.

I took a moment to scope out LinkedIN, but there was no sign of him there.
Maybe Macintosh Garden will have some leads.

It turns out that this code works:
It seems to be circulating on the Internet with an extra "1" before the first numbers, and that got things confused. Without the "1," it works perfectly.
Perhaps this could be added to the information on the Gryphel site?
Code: Select all

I dunno what his policy is, but I guess it can't hurt to send it along.
