I know I can play this in qemu or BasiliskII, but well, I wanted to see how well minivmac does at Mac II emulation. The game starts up, but there is something wrong with the keyboard controls: left and right arrows work, but as soon as you press Up, the ship starts moving upwards and you can't accelerate in any other direction.
I'm interested in minivmac because it is the only mac emulator I'm aware of that has been ported to libretro for the (hacked, homebrewed) Nintendo Switch. It might be fun to try out some old mac games on this handheld.

Isn't the BasiliskII library available for Switch? I don't think it's in Master yet, but it should be deployable.
Mini vMac is unlikely to see further development any time soon.

What is the "BasiliskII library"? You mean a retroarch core? It's not in the latest nightly release:

btw, with a little key mapping other ambrosia games like Apeiron and Swoop run nicely on the Switch retroarch minivmac.

Yeah; the BII retroarch core. As I said, it's not in main, so it doesn't get into the nightlies.ceratophyllum wrote: ↑Wed Oct 12, 2022 3:51 pm What is the "BasiliskII library"? You mean a retroarch core? It's not in the latest nightly release:

It's also worth noting that the UME/MESS core has MacII support in it, which is also functional, if finicky. Unlike BII which will likely need tweaks to work on Switch, the MESS cores for MacPlus and MacII should work out of the box on Switch.
