Basilisk II Alone in The Dark 1992
Its been a while and I'm wondering if there's a build of Mac OS 9.2 on Basilisk II that can now run Alone in the Dark 1992 without issues? Last year, whenever I tried to run it, the game was horribly glitchy and did not really run, so I'm wondering of QEMU is still the only option to play the game now?

MacOS 9.2 on BasiliskII? BasiliskII runs MacOS up to 8.1 and SheepShaver runs MacOS up to 9.0.4.
In which configuration did you try the game and what were the glitches you encountered?

I was running the 78 version. Should I try the 8.1 version?Ronald P. Regensburg wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 8:06 pm MacOS 9.2 on BasiliskII? BasiliskII runs MacOS up to 8.1 and SheepShaver runs MacOS up to 9.0.4.

Alone in the Dark 1992 ran impossibly slow when I started and it infinitely looped going up and down the stairs once I went down the attic.

We discussed this before in another topic. The game runs very slow in both BasiliskII and SheepShaver.
Cat_7 then mentioned that the game could be played in the experimental Qemu with audio support: viewtopic.php?p=73439#p73439

Right, I just wondered if things changed in the intervening time and there's a non experimental way I could play it?Ronald P. Regensburg wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 8:33 pm We discussed this before in another topic. The game runs very slow in both BasiliskII and SheepShaver.

It sounds like I still need to use Qemu?
