Automatic start of a game

Post by Sebiohazard »

Hello everyone !

I would like to automate starting a game with Mini vMac. With the command:

Code: Select all

mini vmac.exe hdd.dsk arkanoid.dsk
I manage to have the Arkanoid game diskette (for example) in System 6.

Is there a way to start the game automatically without having to double-click on the diskette on the desktop ? If yes how to proceed ?

Greetings :)

In System 6, you can choose which application to launch at boot from the Special menu in the Finder.

Under System 7 and later, there's a Startup Items folder in the System Folder; make an alias of anything you want to launch at startup there.

The alternative for both is to change the app's type and creator to FNDR/MACS and replace the Finder with it in the System Folder.
