qemu + netbsd video

Has anyone got video working, booting netbsd from within mac os 8.1(through netbsd booter)? I am able to access everything through serial and ssh fine(can even forward x11 apps), just wondering if it were possible to configure booter to have console video, instead of plain white screen after boot. If so, what settings are you using (outside of defaults)? I have tried messing with a bunch of things in monitors, and systems, no luck yet.
