Macintosh Pi but for x64?

The Macintosh Pi project has SheepShaver and BasiliskII running on Raspian without an X server so therefore with very little overhead.

I was wondering whether it's possible to do the same with regular x64 hardware: compile and run SheepShaver/BasiliskII and run them without needing X11.

I'd be keen to write up a guide if it's possible.
