Hi there! I humbly come to your community of Mac pros seeking advice!
I've been trying to get to the display control panel for a 21" Apple Studio Display CRT. For anyone unfamiliar it has a standard VGA cable as well as a USB cable which allows for changing geometry in the OS (instead in a traditional monitor OSD).
Unfortunately, I don't own a G3/G4 Mac running OS8-9 so I've had to resort to using an open source tool called USBmonctl in Linux Mint to play with the geometry. Problem is, the tool wasn't designed specifically for this CRT and while I have had *some* success in changing a few values, I haven't been able to change all of the geometry settings available for the monitor.
I then set up SheepShaver only to realize that I am unable to use USB passthrough.
Does anyone know if there is any path forward for me to set up a Mac OS 9 install in a VM or via emulation that will allow me to do USB pass through so that I can properly adjust the geometry on this monitor?
Thanks for your help!
NK

Your best bet would be to try it via QEMU, which does have USB passthrough capability, although it's a bit arduous to set up the first time.

Thanks. I haven't tried that yet. I'll give it a shot.
