I'm trying to load a MacOS 9.2.2 disk image to boot within a Catalina host with USB passthrough ("usb-host") support.
I know that I can make this work on newer versions such as MacOS 14 Monterey, or on a Windows host, or on Linux. However, ideally I want to run it on a particular computer that tops out at Catalina for official support.
Unfortunately, I can not get it to download/compile on Catalina using MacPorts as the needed Darwin19 support file(s) have been purged from the online repository. Homebrew seems to no longer be available, as Apple no longer supports this version.
Does anyone have or know where I could find a pre-built QEMU package that will work on Catalina? All I was able to find was the QEMU 5.2 Screamer edition, which is built without usb passthrough support.
Ultimately, if can't get it working on Catalina, I'll just have to decide on making do with using it on some other computer or installing Linux or Bootcamp, but I still hold out some hope for using it on this particular system.
Thanks
QEMU for MacOS 10.15 Catalina Host
