Hi,
I used COI since many years. No problem. Since Modave, I have a few problems.
I hope SS2.5 will solve them.
How can I include SheepSaver 2.5 into COI 4.0.1 "Chubby Bunny"?
Thanks

Re: COI and SheepShaver 2.5
The easiest way is to put the new SheepShaver application on your Mac. The location is irrelevant. Launch SheepShaver and it will use files and settings that COI used.
Make sure that COI is left in place and is not moved. SheepShaver will look for the needed files in there.
(If you wish, you can now also make changes in SheepShaver preferences, something you could not do in COI. If you mess things up, simply quit SheepShaver, then launch COI and again quit it. All settings will be back as they were before.)

Re: COI and SheepShaver 2.5
Hi,
I made what you say but nothing happens...
In the COI folder, here are the files:
- Classic.app
- NewOS.app
- (SheepShaver docs)
- SheepShaverPrefs.app
I copy SheepShaver.app into this folder and when I launch SS, it quits immediately without any message.
An idea?
Thanks

Re: COI and SheepShaver 2.5
You apparently use the "COIV4.0.1+" version. That one has a few issues with duplicate prefs items, both absolute and relative paths to rom file and keycodes file.
You will need to correct that inside the "Classic" application:
- Right-click (or control-click) on "Classic" and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. The content of Classic will be shown.
- You will see an item "COI"
- Right-click (or control-click) on "COI" and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. The content of COI will be shown.
- You will see a file "hih1"
- Double-click hih1. It will open in TextEdit.
- Carefully remove the first two lines:
The top line should now be:
- Close the file and save the changes.
- Close all windows.
- Finally, run "Classic" once.
After that it should work as I described above.

Hi Ronald,
I made all the steps you suggest and SheepShaver 2.5 runs fine.
Many thanks for all.
Best, Guy
