Monterey - Awesome, it starts!

Post by KnuddlMac »

@all

I was sooo exited, if Monterey gets supported as well as Big Sur.
1st nothing happened, clearly a user-error:

I need to run the Basilisk GUI 1st to define new paths...

And BANG!! it started as ever. Thanks to kanjitalk755 and Ronald for updating the OS builds.

Now my biggest worries is with KEXTs and is my Mac network still reachable?
It didn't work with newer MacBooks via WiFi, but using the good ol' Thunderbolt network adapter yield a match.

Now I start to experience how much Basilisk is still alive after my Monterey upgrade.
Please also share your experience and tricks to keep all runin'.

Happy hackin'

Today I tried getting the BAII running on my Monterey BMP.
With a recent client all attempts did fail.
Trying an older client from my MBP 2013 with working network BAII client did succeed on Monterey!

Test: Bolo session from Mac to Mac. J :lol:

Please note: BAII works just on Ethernet Port, but not via WiFi with MBP2019.
The MBP2013 also works via WiFI.

Still, I need to check why just the old client provides AppleTalk via Ethernet connectivity.
This is being addressed in a separate thread here in our Emaculation forum.
