Sorbet on QEMU

Post by edyaldea »

Hello!
I finally managed to restore Sorbet Leopard on QEMU on a second partition using Mac OS 10.4, but don't want to boot. When I select the startup disk "Mac OS Sorbet Leopard" and click "Restart" nothing doesn't happening.

- note the two different solutions in-thread: setting a manual boot path, or my solution:
I booted a clone of my 10.5 image with the Sorbet image connected and a blank image connected. Used Disk Utility to format the blank image, then restored the Sorbet image to it. Powered it down, removed the original 10.5 image and the original Sorbet image and rebooted... booted cleanly into Sorbet.
Seems to be an issue with the partitioning of the restore image -- QEMU wants a properly formatted 10.5 disk or else you have to manually point to the bootloader on disk from OpenFirmware.
