A little bit of a challenge: BeOS on QEMU PPC

Post by Lucss21a »

I was interested in BeOS lately and asked myself, "Is BeOS on QEMU achievable?"

I know that previous attempts aren't successful but I'm pretty interested in making it to work. I believe, with a little bit of modifying the source (which I lacked thereof), it's possible to make a PowerMac 8500 machine (iirc, QEMU has support for the PowerPC 604 processor) or a full fledge BeBox machine if you want to be too ambitious.

It would be possible but with a lot of problems along the way.

If (as it seems) you are asking other people to do the work for you, probably the best place to ask is on one of the QEMU mailing lists, not here:
