Fullscreen "glitch" issue in Windows

Hi folks, first post here. I have tried searching this issue and haven't found anything about it yet.
When I emulate System 7.5.3 fullscreen, Basilisk II seems to 'glitch' out with some of the pixels when the game Solarian II is opened up.
It creates horizontal artifacts as in the screenshot below, where you can see a 'ghost' of the main screen:

The workaround for now is to open Basilisk II in Window mode and play at maximum height and width, or at a smaller window size (such as the original 640x480 dimensions) with the mouse in "grab" mode which helps prevent the cursor flying off into the host system. But it does seem to come at the cost of smoothness of graphics (it frequently drops frames).
Any pointers or quick fixes known?
Any help is much appreciated, thx
