There's a 10.4.1 image on archive.org and it works well on vmware fusion. This image might be a cracked one for Intel Mac DTK.

Changing those settings for Terminal.app may work, since Unix executable files are opened with Terminal. If it doesn't, try UTM, which is an app bundle.

I managed to boot the system with a customized floppy image that contained a System suitcase from System 7.6 floppy and Finder from System 7.1.2 floppy.
Keyboard and mouse do not work currently.

MAME-labeled "imperfect" machines like Mac IIvx works. Virtual memory works. But FPU emulation isn't very accurate and causes some scroll bar issues.

Tested with a clean Qemu 2.9 build on my desktop PC running 64-bit Linux.
It really depends on the speed of the host machine. It runs faster on a i3-7100(@3.9GHz) CPU.
Still, FPU performance hits a plateau.

You'd better quit to DOS and run FUSION. Check config.sys and don't load EMM386.exe.
If you're using PCI sound card that emulates a SoundBlaster card, load the driver first.
Here's two universal device driver: OAKCDROM for IDE CDROMs and CTMOUSE for PS/2 and Serial mouses.

I got an old IBM ThinkPad T22 laptop with Pentium III 900 that was able to use sound card on DOS...
So I got FUSION run on that machine. To my surprise, it runs pretty fast. :eek:

There's another emulator that have the Voodoo 2 emulation. It's PCem that implement Voodoo/Voodoo 2 emulation on register level.

Well, it works pretty fast(at least faster than Qemu). It took me one hour or so to install the same os, further more, the disk image was NTFS compressed. My laptop uses an Ivy Bridge i3 processor.

KVM does not run on a Windows host.
Also, it needs a POWER or PPC host 'coz KVM uses the virtualization techonology.

The Pi Zero might run Mac OS 9 slightly less than OK (in comparison to the Power Mac G3/300), though you might have to set the memory to 128 MB at most. OS X might run, but it would be very slow. You can compile from 2.7's branch onward. As for OpenBIOS, can't help you much there.
