Hi @Cat_7,

Thank you! Did you see in my last message that I actually already got it installed and how? :-)

Now I am trying to update to 10.4.11.

Will let you know how it goes so if anyone else needs this they can find a solution!

Update: I got it installed and Fusion even boots my old install Tiger Server install when I clone it using Carbon Copy Cloner.

However USB is super slow - like 2-3 mb/s. Will need to test and experiement with the USB settings and other things!

Thanks for all the help! Much appreciated :-)

Yes, saw your message about being able to install.
Great, and with the tiger image from your old machine it seems you don't even need to configure the server.

Did you check whether the Fusion network settings allow you to connect to the Tiger server?

Best,

Hi Cat_7,

Yeah, good point, no I didn't check the network connections before now. I set it to bridge and unfortunately network performance is useless for my purpose. I get around 80-110 MB/S when netbooting some Macs directly from the MacBook 2,1. But I can't do even sequential transfer over the network from this VM with more than around 11-13 MB/S. So unfortunately back to the drawing board... Not sure how I can optimize this. There are no Network adapter type settings in Fusion and everything is set to Unlimited for the bandwidth. Some massive bottleneck using Fusion.

Hmm...
